Anyone else noticing the “vibe coding” trend?

Tools like Lovable, v0, and Bolt.new are popping up everywhere, making it ridiculously easy to spin up apps in minutes. Feels like the new wave of AI-assisted coding, but lighter, faster, and way more “vibey.”

Barclays even called it out, saying the boom might not last forever. :eyes:
:backhand_index_pointing_right: Is this the future of dev work or just another bubble waiting to pop?

Honestly, I’ve tried a few of these “vibe coding” tools. Great for quick prototypes or weekend hacks, but the second you need structure, version control, or scaling, it falls apart. Cool tech, but not replacing real engineering anytime soon.

I actually love this direction. Anything that lowers the barrier to building is a win. We’ll still need engineers for complex stuff but if AI tools can get more ideas off the ground faster, that’s a net positive for innovation.

Every few years we get a “no-code-but-smarter” wave. Remember Bubble, Glide, and the Webflow hype? This feels like that with better branding. The hype cycles are fun, but the long game always belongs to solid engineering fundamentals.
