Has anyone moved to AI Engineering leadership role from typical engineering? How did you do it ?

I’m in AI leadership role, and in AI from the start, haven’t pivoted. But I have many colleagues and friends who moved from typical engineering roles. They either would have done some education/courses or would ahve done AI Projects at work.
